Tenaga Techno worked closely with the Johor Bahru City Council and Philips Lighting to convert old street lights along major state roads to LED. Apart from reducing energy consumption, the retrofits would result in longer lamp lifespans thus reducing maintenance and replacement frequency for further cost savings for the council.

The lower overall operating costs and maintenance frequencies are expected to redirect efforts towards traffic planning as well as reduce unnecessary disruptions and inconvenience for road users. We were able to propose best-fit lighting solutions and share important product knowledge with technical support from our partners. For this project, our LED street lamps were based on the coucil;s requirements and outlined objectives. 

Our experts leveraged their technical knowledge and on-site experience to tailor project management and implementation strategies for optimal time, cost and quality outcomes. Structured project management and excellent process engineering ensured success as every step was meticulously planned, executed, tracked, reported, and coordinated with various parties. Being well-versed in the challenges and limitations of open road installation, the team established protocols and work-arounds for high traffic volume, uncertain weather, air and noise pollution, and other obstacles to stay on track. These competencies, along with stringent safety measures and a zero-tolerance policy for incidents, allowed the project to be completed 7 months ahead of schedule.
